Chapter Six

“Best. Kitten. Ever.”

Ram stood up with Julia in his arms and reveled in the way she wrapped herself around him as he carried her back to the bedroom. Pixie opened her eyes briefly from her new favorite perch on his bookshelf to watch them pass, then closed them again.

He’d belonged to a few discreet dungeons in various locations and had visited one in Denver when he got to Colorado. But despite his dominant tendencies, he’d found that engaging in brief scenes with a string of subs had lost its charm. He needed a relationship with one woman who needed him back. A woman strong enough to allow him to fulfill her every desire, and submit to his need to control her pleasure, as well as her pain.

The moment he’d seen Julia, he’d envisioned her in kitty ears to match her wild, dark hair, with a fluffy, floaty, little black tail plugged into her cute ass. There was no question in his mind that she was the other half of his soul, and the sooner she was ready for him to slip a belled collar around her slender throat, the better.

He didn’t have the collar yet, but he was eager to give her the rest of the toys he’d hoarded in anticipation of finding his beautiful kitten.

It took less than five seconds for him to get naked and crawl onto the bed with her where they kneeled together. He wrapped his arms around her and brought her close. At the first full contact of skin on skin, they both moaned.

“Lie back, kitten. It’s time for your present.” He knew exactly where he’d left his bag, so he was back at her side in moments, holding a black satin drawstring sack.

She perked up and rose onto her elbows. “What’s that?”

“That’s for you, for being my beautiful, sweet kitten.” He reached to trail a hand down her silky hair, wanting to watch it tangle as he fucked her into the mattress. He pulled a curl forward and draped it into a swirl around one nipple.

“But how did you know you’d find someone? How long have you had this stuff?”

“Julia, sweetheart, I’ve been waiting for you for a long time. I bought these things, knowing that when I found the woman I’d want for the rest of my life — the woman I’d love and keep and cherish and guard — that she’d be perfect for this.”

He opened the bag and drew out several small items. He handed her the first, a black headband decorated with furry black kitten ears. Her eyes lit from within.

“A kitty! I love it!” She rubbed her face against the fur, then slid the band over her head. “How do I look?”

“Fucking adorable.” Ram gestured to the wide mirror that hung over his dresser and she crawled across the mattress to look. She was on her hands and knees, and he watched their reflection as she admired her new gift. Running a hand down her spine, he caressed her ass and the tops of her thighs.
